City Creek Center

My siblings and I all went up to the new City Creek Center in Salt Lake to check it out.  We had a great time checking out the shops.  Cambri and Zoe loved the little play area they have by the food court.  I love that it's just a bunch of glorified rocks.  All it consists of is a bunch of colorful dinosaurs for kids to climb on and jump off of.  It sounds so simple but it was packed with kids just having the time of their lives on these things.  It was fun to watch the girls.  They would wander from one dino to the next but they would always stay together and follow each other around.  They are best buds!

Happy Birthday Cambri

On March 30th our sweet little Cambri had her first birthday.  We had a party for her with mostly family and a couple of close friends.  We decided to do a rainbow theme to go with the little munchkins bright personality.  We had rainbow food and rainbow decor.  She had a blast and loved being the center of attention.  She knew it was a special day.

Here is a little bit about who she is and what she is doing.  Cambri is a very independent girl, she wants to feed herself, brush her own teeth and figure out things for herself.  In spite of being very independent she is also very social, she loves to play with cousins and friends and loves to be with people. She is a very busy girl, she has to get into everything and can't even drink a bottle without playing with some other toy at the same time.  Her favorite foods are yogurt and refried beans. She is very expressive and loves to talk in her own little language.  We know when she starts speaking English/Spanish she will have a lot to say. She loves being outside and going on walks. Her favorite places to play are the bathroom, in the dishwasher and in the fridge.  She has such a great laugh, it just rolls right out of her when you getting going good and is so contagious! We love our little princess and can't believe how fast she is growing.

At the party we had a happy birthday sign that had pictures of her at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months and so on.  So here are her month by month pictures as a reminder at how she has grown.

Las Vegas

A few weekends ago we ended up going to Las Vegas with some friends.  It was last minute that we ended up being able to go.  The other 2 couples had arranged for babysitters and had been planning it for a long time. Because it was so last minute we decided just to take Cambri with us.  She was fun to have and had a great time herself.  I got so caught up in what we were doing that I forgot to take pictures except for the first night.  The first night we were there we rode the New York New York roller coaster, had dinner at a buffet and walked along the strip.  We saw some of he new hotels and Cambri saw the Bellagio fountains for the first time....She loved it!

The next morning we were suppose to go out with our friends but Cambri ended up needing to go to the Instacare instead.  We spent a couple of hours trying to find one that was open and that was in our network.  Then once we got there the place was packed so we spent another couple of hours waiting.  Once we got in and got her checked out for the really nasty cough and wheezing she had, they soon told us it was bronchilitis but that it was mild.  The saddest part was when we had to have her breath in medicine from a machine.  It lasted for 15-20 minutes and the dr's just left us with her in there to hold her down and hold the mask that had the medicine in it to her face.  She cried and screamed and flailed the whole time.  They also gave us a prescription to get the same stuff delivered to our house once we got home.  She did get use to it after a few times at home.  

After we left the Instacare we met our friends for lunch at The Original Tommy's Burger.  Cambri was already doing better and we had a great afternoon.  We hit a flee market after lunch and then went to dinner at Cuban place that was so good, we will be going back.  Then our friends went out dancing and we went back to just chill at our hotel for the night.  The next day we slept in and checked out right before lunch.  We ate at a Honduran place for lunch and then hit another flee market.  We then headed home and stopped in St. George for dinner.

Busy Baby

Anyone who is with Cambri for 5 minutes knows that she is such a busy girl.  She loves to play and get into everything.  It's so fun to watch her discover, but it's also tiring trying to chase her around and keep her from getting into all the dangerous stuff too.  We have a good time together.  One of her favorite places to play lately is under the exersaucer that her very nice Aunt Merd let her borrow. Who knows why she would rather be under it than in it but she loves it under there.

Today we also went to a birthday party for her Cousin Mimi at her Uncle Marty's house.  One of her other cousins pulled out some crayons and she had a blast just rolling them around and chasing after them on the hardwood floor.

She also loves open doors to anywhere. Anytime she hears a door open she starts booking it towards the door, even if she can't see the door, she will head towards the sound of it.  She loves the dishwasher. She will crawl to any open dishwasher with much enthusiasm and if you get in her path or take her away she will let you know she doesn't like you butting in.  She can also play in a pile of new laundry for ages.  She is always on the go go go!
